My Story

My journey with honey bees began when I was just 9 or 10, during a summer camp run by my primary school teacher—who also happened to be a beekeeper. I was instantly captivated. I still remember stopping by the hives on my way to the village shop for sweets, fascinated by the quiet buzz of activity.

Years later, after moving from the city to the countryside, I finally had the space to keep bees of my own. I took a beginner’s beekeeping course eight years ago and was amazed to harvest my first honey—it felt like liquid gold! Since then, my passion for bees has only grown.

Over the past three years, I’ve been developing a range of products made from my bees’ honey and beeswax, from natural skincare to candles and more. I love the variety that comes with beekeeping: working outdoors, observing the seasons through the bees, and continually learning about their complex and fascinating world.

I’m currently studying for the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) exams, both practical and theory, to deepen my understanding and enhance my practice. I also enjoy mentoring and supporting new beekeepers—sharing knowledge, troubleshooting, and helping others discover the joy of working with bees.

Beekeeping is more than a hobby—it’s a lifelong learning journey, and I’m grateful every day to be part of it.
